JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - FAU's Daniel Laureyssens was named Scholar Athlete of the Year on the Men's side while Georgia Southern's Karlee Wells earned Scholar Athlete of the Year on the women's Side. Laureyssens highlights a list of 31 student-athletes while Wells highlights a list of 48 student-athletes that were announced by the league office as Academic All-ASUN Tuesday.

Laureyssens holds a 3.8 GPA while studying International Business. The senior is a two time 2026 NCAA Championship Qualifer in the 50 Freestyle and the 200 Freestly. He was named Most Outstanding Male Swimmer at this year's Championship where he broke the facility record in both the 50-Free and 200-Free.

Wells holds a 4.0 GPA while majoring in Biology. She currently holds all bit one of the program's top-five scores across the 3M and 1M Dive during her career at Georgia Southern. She was named 2026 ASUN Most Outstanding Female Diver and is the first Eagle to qualify for the finals of an NCAA Zone meet. 

The Academic All-ASUN recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. All student-athletes named to the list boast a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
