JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Liz Freihofer was named the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Freihofer highlighted a list of 27 student-athletes that were announced by the league office as Academic All-ASUN on Monday.
Freihofer holds a 4.0 GPA while majoring in Biomedical Sciences (Pre-Dental). The sophomore guard is second in scoring and first in rebounding for EKU, posting 12.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game to help lead the Colonels to its first ASUN Regular Season title. She has 63 three-pointers this season making her the third best in the conference.
The Academic All-ASUN recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. All student-athletes named to the list boast a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
