JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) has announced its weekly award winners for men’s and women’s golf for Thursday, Oct. 15

 

MEN’S GOLF

Golfer of the Week: Uy Doan, Stetson

Doan extends his streak of top-ten finishes to four with his eighth place finish at the Bryson Invitational with a score of 214 (-2). Doan’s 12 birdies during his rounds of 74-70-70 led Stetson to an eighth place team finish, outscoring ninth place Oregon State by nine strokes. Doan has shot par or better in 11 of 12 rounds this fall and won two tournament titles this season.

 

WOMEN’S GOLF

Golfer of the Week: Kaitlyn Schroeder, North Florida

Schroeder picked up her first collegiate individual title at the Evie Odom Invitational. Schroeder led the team to a title over top-100 programs such as South Carolina, Penn State, Louisville, South Alabama and Georgia. Schroeder shot 203 (-7) (67-66-70) including two eagles and a tournament-best 12 birdies. Schroeder has earned a top-three finish in all three tournaments.
