JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - FGCU's Jaci Carpenter was named the 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Beach Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Carpenter highlighted the ten-member Academic All-ASUN Team announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Carpenter holds a 4.0 GPA as she majors in Communications. The Dublin, Ohio, native competed on Court 2 and 3 for the No. 20 Eagles this season. She helped FGCU record 18 wins on the season including three ranked wins against No. 14 FIU and No. 15 FAU twice. With her partner, Emma Soncrant, she defeated pairs from No. 8 LSU, No, 15 FIU, No. 15 FAU and No. 20 Georgia State. 

The All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. All members of the team boast a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
