UCA & FGCU Claim ASUN Women's Soccer Weekly Awards

ATLANTA – The FGCU duo of Lauren Dwyer and Olivia Molina along with Central Arkansas' Kelly Van Gundy earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Soccer honors, announced Monday by the league office.

Van Gundy scored in both of the Bears' games this week to help the team start conference play 2-0. Her first goal came at home on Thursday against Queens followed by a game-winning PK on the road at West Georgia on Sunday. The reigning ASUN Champion FGCU also began league play with a 2-0 record and two shutouts. Dwyer and the Eagles' defense held North Florida to eight shots and surrendered zero shots on goal in the first half against Jacksonville. Between the pipes, Molina tallied 11 saves across both matches and now ranks 12 nationally with 58 saves on the season.
