ATLANTA – Bellarmine's duo of Payton Parsons and Kylie VanHoy were joined by FGCU's Ella Chapman and West Georgia's Victoria Schmer in earning this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Volleyball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Player of the Week Chapman totaled 21 kills off 33 swings (.606) while registered four solo blocks and six block assists last weekend for the Eagles. The middle blocker was named to the Ole Miss Invitational All-Tournament Team after averaging 2.10 kills and 1.00 blocks per set. Schmer totaled 63 digs over three matches at the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles Invitational for a 6.30 digs-per-set average. She reached 20 digs against both Tennessee Tech (21) and Nicholls (24). VanHoy averaged 10.17 assists on the week for the Knights, She totaled over 40 assists in matchups with Chattanooga (40) and SIUE (47). Parsons averaged 4.75 digs per set for Bellarmine this week to garner the Freshman of the Week honor.
