ATLANTA – The FGCU duo of Reese Mendenhall and Erika Zschuppe were joined by North Alabama's Alice Bussey to represent Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Soccer on the United Soccer Coaches 2024 Players to Watch lists. Bussey was named one of the nation's top forwards while Mendenhall and Zschuppe were selected to the defenders and midfielders lists, respectively.

Mendenhall followed up her 2023 All-ASUN First Team nod with the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year honor. She started all 22 matches last season for the Eagles and helped her team hold opponents to 10 shots or less in six matches. Zschuppe, the 2023 ASUN Championship MVP, enters this fall as the Preseason Midfielder of the Year. Last season, she scored a team-leading 10 goals including a hat-trick in the ASUN Championship Final to help FGCU come from behind and claim the title. In 2023, Bussey earned All-ASUN First Team and Academic All-ASUN Honors in addition to being selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-American Second Team and All-South Region First Team. She finished the season with seven goals and three assists on 60 shots registered with 28 of those being on goal.

The lists are compiled and released by the Division I All-America Committees to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season later this month. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and first or second-team All-Region players from 2023, who are scheduled to return for the 2024 season.
