JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Central Arkansas' Caylan Koons, FGCU's Shelby Kent, Lipscomb's Berkley Mischler and North Alabama's Reese Ricketts earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Volleyball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Kent totaled 41 kills, 39 digs and six block assists to help the Eagles defeat West Georgia and Queens. She tallied 22 kils and 22 digs on Friday against the Wolves and followed up with 19 kills and 17 digs against the Royals on Sunday. Mischler totaled 18.5 points on the weekend which saw the Bisons defeat Bellarmine and EKU to clinch a berth in the ASUN Championship. She produced 11 total blocks for a 1.57 per-set average. Koons averaged 11.00 assists per set in a 1-1 week for the Sugar Bears . She notched 52 assists in a five-set battle with North Alabama, eclipsing 50 for the fifth time this sesaon. Rickets averaged a double-double on the week for the Lions with 14 kills and 10 digs per contest. The Harrison, Ark. native also accumulated six blocks (five solo), three service aces and one assist.
