JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Central Arkansas' Regan Harp, FGCU's Shelby Kent, Lipscomb's Libby Steinhart and Queens' Kendall Buish earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Volleyball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Kent secured her fourth Player of the Week honor in a 2-0 week for the Eagles that saw the team win the ASUN Regular Season Championship. The senior had a .419 hitting percentage with two service aces along with averaging 5.00 kills and 3.33 digs per set. Steinhart's 16 digs against West Georgia helped the Bisons sweep the Wolves after winning the first set 25-10. She averaged 5.33 digs per set to win her second Defensive Player of the Week award this season. Buish aided the Royals' historic 2-0 week where the squad earned its first conference tournament bid in program history. The senior from Spring, Texas, averaged 13.67 assists per set in sweeps of UWG and Austin Peay. Harp led the Sugar Bears with a pair of double-doubles against EKU and Bellarmine. She tallied 16 kills and 10 digs against the Colonels then 10 kills and 12 digs in a matchup with the Knights.
