ATLANTA – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced the dates, sites and hosts for the upcoming 2023-24 ASUN Championship season on Wednesday.
FGCU paces all league members with three championships scheduled to take place on the Eagles' campus. Central Arkansas, Lipscomb and Stetson each host two events while Air Force and Coastal Carolina will host Men's and Women's Lacrosse, respectively. Both the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, which are new to the ASUN in 2023-24, will be held in Knoxville on the campus of the University of Tennessee. For the Men's and Women's Soccer and Men's and Women's Basketball Championships, the highest seeds host on campus.
The action begins at the end of October with the first two rounds of Women's Soccer (campus sites) while Cross Country takes place in Nashville, Tenn. (Lipscomb) on Oct. 28. Men's Soccer begins on Nov. 4 (campus sites) while the highest remaining seed hosts the Women's Soccer Championship Final on Nov. 5. The Men's Soccer Championship Final comes nearly a week later on Nov. 11. FGCU then hosts its first-of-three events this season, the Volleyball Championship, from Nov. 16-18.
The Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships take the stage on Feb. 21-24 in the Volunteer State while the Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships get underway a couple of days later in Gainesville, Fla., (Alachua Sports Center) on Feb. 23-24. Both the Men's and Women's Basketball Championships are scheduled for March with both taking place on campus sites as the highest remaining seeds earn the right to host.
Women's Golf opens spring competition by making a return trip to Huntsville, Ala., (Hampton Cove) for the second-consecutive season as all teams will be participating on April 14-16. Men's and Women's Tennis will hit first serve down at FGCU on April 19-21 as six teams will make the field, while Men's Golf is slated to begin on April 21-23 (site TBD). Stetson will then welcome the Beach Volleyball Championship on April 25-27 as the eight league teams battle it out.
Six Men's Lacrosse squads will make the trip to Colorado Springs, Colo., (Air Force) between April 30-May 5 and the Women's Lacrosse Championship heads to Conway, S.C. (Coastal Carolina) for matchups between May 2-4. Championship action in the month of May continues on May 7-11 in Oxford, Ala., for Softball at Choccolocco Park, just ahead of the Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships taking place in Conway, Ark., (Central Arkansas) on May 9-11. The Baseball Championship (May 21-26) puts a bow on the 2023-24 Championship season with a repeat visit to DeLand, Fla., home of the Hatters.
