Molly Brock and Sarah Elms Selected for South Region Team by IWLCA

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (judolphins.com) – Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced their 2023 Division I All-Region Teams today, May 11, 2023. Jacksonville had two players honored; midfielder Molly Brock and attacker Sarah Elms earned spots on the South Region Second Team list.

Each year the IWLCA honors 128 student-athletes competing at the Division I level with a selection to one of the All-Region teams. These individuals are eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team.

Elms, a graduate student from Severna Park, Md., ranks 8th nationally in goals, with 66 and 11th for goals per game, earning an average of 3.47. She led the team with 59 goals and 10 assists during the regular season, including a seven-goal game against Lindenwood on April 8. She reached the back of the net on 46.8 percent of her shots during the year.

Brock, a graduate student from Rockville, Md., has had 92 draw controls this season and is ranked 45th nationally for draw controls per game, averaging 4.84. Like Elms, Brock started all 19 games and recorded 80 draw controls, including 11 against Florida and 10 against Liberty. In addition, she scored 19 goals, had four assists, and 27 ground balls. Included in her efforts were two game-winning goals.

The IWLCA announces the 2023 All-American team on May 25.
