North Florida's Chantel McMillan Highlights 2023 #ASUNBVB All-Academic Team

2023 All-Academic | Record Book

ATLANTA - North Florida's Chantel McMillan was selected by the league's sports information directors and academic advisors as the 2023 Beach Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. McMillan highlighted the 11-member All-Academic Team, announced by the league office on Thursday.

McMillan earned a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA majoring in Educational Leadership while helping UNF tie a program record for wins in a single season (21) and aided the Ospreys in earning the third seed in the 2023 ASUN Beach Volleyball Championship. She is just the fourth Osprey in program history to surpass 60 wins, going 16-5 at the fifth slot and 1-2 at the fourth spot with partner Hayden Wooldridge. The duo earned two ranked wins against Stetson this season, helping North Florida knock off the Hatters for the first time since the championship in 2021.

The All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. All members of the team boast a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
