Men's Tennis All-Academic Team
ATLANTA - For the third consecutive season, the ASUN Conference announced Liberty's Josh Wilson as the league's Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Wilson's third Scholar-Athlete honor highlighted the six-person All-Academic Team, announced Wednesday by the league office.
Wilson is completing his MBA in Economics as he earned a selection to the All-Academic Team for the third season in a row. A graduate student from the United Kingdom, Wilson has a perfect 4.00 GPA while helping the Flames to the ASUN Regular Season Championship with a 13-9 overall record including 7-1 in league matches. Wilson boasts a 10-9 Singles record and is 9-8 in Doubles action with partner and fellow All-Academic Team member Christiaan Worst. A four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, Wilson became only the second student-athlete to earn three Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognitions (Simon Pritchard, KSU; 2015-17).
The All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the court and in the classroom. All members of the team boast a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
