UNF's O'Gorman, Liberty's Bryan Joins KSU's Seid and Lawrence in Claiming Men's Indoor #ASUNTF Championship Accolades
ATLANTA - North Florida's Aidan O'Gorman joined Kennesaw State's Courtney Lawrence and Simon Seid along with Liberty's Anthony Bryan in claiming the final set of awards from the 2023 ASUN Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship, announced Thursday by the league office.
O'Gorman was named the Championship's Most Valuable Performer while Flames' Lance Bingham was tabbed Coach of the Year. O'Gorman also won the Most Outstanding Track Performer accolade while Liberty's Anthony Bryan and Kennesaw State's Courtney Lawrence claimed a share in the Most Outstanding Field Performer. The Owls also had Simon Seid recognized as he was named Most Outstanding Freshman.

As the 2023 Championship's Most Valuable Performer, O'Gorman was also named the Most Outstanding Track Performer after he took home first-place finishes in both the 3,000m and 5,000m races at the championship meet. It is the second season in a row that an Osprey has taken first in both of the races at the ASUN Championship. The UNF distance runner set two new ASUN Championship records clocking times of 8:06.52 (3K) and 14:02.90 (5K).
Bryan, one of the two who earned Most Outstanding Field Performer honors scored 19 points at the ASUN Championship while completing 11 different events, winning the Heptathlon (5,248), placing fourth in the Long Jump, seventh in the 60m Hurdles and seventh in the Pole Vault. He earned his second ASUN Heptathlon title with the fourth-best score in meet history (5,248).
Lawrence of Kennesaw State also garnered the title of Most Outstanding Field Performer after winning the Shot Put with a mark of 18.86m. His mark of 18.86m ranks third in ASUN Championship history. He finished fifth in the Weight Throw with a personal-best toss of 18.09m. His mark of 18.09m was the fifth-best in the ASUN during the entire 2023 season.
Seid captured the Most Outstanding Freshman honor after winning the Pole Vault title with a mark of 5.12m which ranks second in KSU program history and third in ASUN Championship history. The Gainesville, Ga., native's mark was the best by any ASUN pole vaulter during the 2023 indoor season.
