ATLANTA – The final day of the regular season saw Eastern Kentucky, No. 24 FGCU, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Liberty and North Alabama all claim victories. The Eagles finished strong with a big win at Lipscomb (101-59) to take home sole possession of the ASUN regular-season crown. The Colonels were also impressive in a win at North Florida while the Gamecocks outlasted Stetson on the road. The Owls were too much for Queens at home and the Flames survived a major scare from Bellarmine in overtime and the Lions took care of Jacksonville.
The 2023 ASUN Championship begins on Saturday, March 4 in Fort Myers, Fla., and Lynchburg, Va. The action gets underway between #9 Stetson/#10 Jacksonville and #7 Kennesaw State/#8 Jacksonville State at 3 PM and 4 PM, respectively, on the floors of FGCU and Liberty. The top-seeded Eagles and second-seeded Flames played their way into the quarterfinals and await the winners of the first-round contests. Two other quarterfinal matchups take place on Sunday, March 5 in #3 Lipscomb/#6 North Alabama and #4 Austin Peay/#5 Eastern Kentucky. The ASUN Championship Semifinals take place on March 8 (times to be determined) followed by the final on March 11. All of the ASUN Championship's battles are scheduled to stream live on ESPN+.
