ATLANTA – Three spots remained to complete the 2023 ASUN Women's Soccer Championship field entering Saturday's contests.
Kennesaw State ended the regular season on a high note after outlasting Queens, 3-1. Despite losing to the Owls, the Royals are set to make their first Division I postseason appearance, entering the ASUN Championship as the eighth seed. Austin Peay is also prepared for its first postseason run as a league member.
The 2023 ASUN Championship begins on Thursday afternoon at the homes of FGCU and North Alabama. Fifth-seeded EKU faces off against #8 Queens with the winner taking on #4 UNA in Florence, Ala. Rounding out the first round is #6 KSU and #7 APSU facing off in Fort Myers with the winner facing defending league champion #3 FGCU. The semifinals and championship final occur in the Music City, hosted by the top-seeded Lipscomb Bisons.
