FORT MYERS, Fla. - The 2022 ASUN Conference Men's Tennis Championship Final between #1 FGCU and #3 Liberty marks the second-straight season the two programs meet in the title tilt as the No. 71 Eagles and No. 67 Flames won their semifinal matches on Saturday afternoon at the FGCU Tennis Complex in Fort Myers, Fla.

The Eagles defended their home court with an emphatic pair of three-set thrillers from Juan Montes on Court 4 (6-4, 0-6, 6-1) and Marcelo Sepulveda on Court 3 (6-3, 1-6, 6-3) to cap their third-straight trip to the final match. Liberty topped Kennesaw State, 4-0, for its second-straight tournament sweep as Nicaise Muamba claimed a 6-2, 6-2 win on Court 2 to clinch the match for the Flames. 

The nationally-ranked Eagles and Flames meet for the second time in ASUN postseason history in the championship final on Sunday at 1 PM ET at the FGCU Tennis Complex. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The Ospreys and Owls fall to 16-8 and 15-5 on the season, respectively, as their runs in the ASUN Championship come to a close.

- FGCU makes its third-straight trip to the championship final as the team looks for its fourth title in six seasons; the Eagles and Flames meet to crown the ASUN Champion for the second consecutive season 
- After the Eagles clinched the Doubles point from Magnus Johnson & Max Damm (6-4) and Eric Oncins & Randy Wilson (6-3) on Courts 1 and 3, UNF earned solo wins from Nilo Duarte (No. 2, PJ Kotan (No. 5) and Rodrigo Crespo (No. 6) to take a 3-2 lead
- Marcelo Sepulveda clinched the match for the Eagles with a 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 victory after Juan Montes tied the match 3-3 on Court 4 with his own three-set victory (6-4, 0-6, 6-1); Johnson collected his 16th Singles win with a 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) win on Court 1

• #3 Liberty 4, #2 Kennesaw State 0
- The Flames posted their second-straight tournament sweep as the team toppled #2 Kennesaw State, 4-0; Liberty makes its second tournament final appearance looking to become the first program to win consecutive league titles since ETSU's eight in a row from 2007-14
- Nicaise Muamba sealed the victory with a 6-2, 6-2 victory on Court 2; Muamba and Rafael Marques Da Silva also clinched the Doubles point with a 6-2 win over their KSU opponents on Court 1; Deji Thomas-Smit and Zion Heaven won 6-2 on Court 3
- Marques Da Silva earned the second point of the match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory on Court 3; Christiaan Worst claimed a 6-1, 6-2 win on Court 4 setting up Muamba's win on Court 2 as well as the Flames' semifinal sweep
