#ASUNWTEN All-Academic Team Announced; UNF's Gulihur Claims Second-Consecutive Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Women's Tennis All-Academic Team
ATLANTA, Ga. - The ASUN Conference revealed North Florida's Kit Gulihur as the 2022 Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year, highlighting the six-person All-Academic Team, announced Thursday by the league office.
Ranked No. 45 in the latest ITA Singles poll, Gulihur claimed her second consecutive Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the third honor for the Ospreys' program. A Psychology major with a perfect 4.00 grade-point average, she aided North Florida to a share of its fifth regular-season title as the team enters the ASUN Championship as the #3 seed. A four-time Player of the Week award winner this season, Gulihur boasts a team-best 15-3 record on Court 1 and is paired with Ana Paula Melilo to hold a 13-4 mark as the pair is ranked 30th in the ITA Doubles polls.
The All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. All members of the team boast a 3.30 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
