Bisons Sweep Superlative Awards as #ASUNMSOC All-Conference Teams Announced

2022 ASUN Conference Men's Postseason Awards

ATLANTA – The four-time ASUN Conference Men's Soccer Regular Season Champion has more hardware to add to the trophy case as the Lipscomb Bisons earned all five superlative awards, as voted on by the league's nine head coaches, the conference office announced on Friday.

Bisons forward Jelldrik Dallmann was named Player of the Year after netting a league-best 11 goals in the regular season. Dallmann's mark is the most goals scored by an ASUN student-athlete since the 2018 season (11 - Rene White, NJIT) and ranks eighth among DI programs this season. The Kuhstedt, Germany, native played in 15 games with 13 starts for the Bisons. He tallied 24 points and 0.73 goals per contest to become Lipscomb's third Player of the Year recipient in program history.

After earning his third-straight Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition earlier today, the Bison's Noah Gulden collected his second consecutive Defensive Player of the Year nod. The Drammen, Norway, native and unanimous First Team selection led the league in the regular season with eight assists while also being credited with a goal. He broke the Lipscomb program record for career assists with his third of the season. The Preseason Defensive Player of the Year lived up to the billing as he led the 12th-ranked Bisons to the eighth-best goal differential (+25) among DI programs. The Bisons is 11th in the country with a 0.688 goals-against average, surrendering just 11 goals in the regular season. Gulden now has his name on two of the program's three DPOY trophies and becomes a five-time ASUN First Team selection.

A stout netminder with 16 starts and over 1,400 minutes played this season, Michael Sibley earned the Bisons' first-ever ASUN Goalkeeper of the Year distinction. Sibley completed the regular season with the league's best goals-against average (0.69) and seven shutouts while also holding a 0.766 save percentage on 36 stops and allowing just 11 goals. The London, England, native posted a 0.870 save percentage and 0.38 goals-against average within league play, helping the Bisons to a 6-1-0 conference record and the second-straight regular season title.

Nick Dang is the first Bison to be named ASUN Freshman of the Year since 2014 (Ivan Alvarado) and just the third in program history after a stellar rookie campaign. A unanimous award selection, Dang played and started in 14 matches for Lipscomb with seven of those starts coming in conference play. The Brentwood, Tenn., center back helped anchor a back line that posted eight shutouts, most in the ASUN and the 20th-best shutout percentage in the nation as a squad. Dang helped Lipscomb to be one of the strongest defenses in the league, allowing just 11 goals on the season.

Leading all of the superlative award winners from the sideline is the ASUN Coach of the Year Charles Morrow. Morrow collected his third postseason honor after a 12-2-2 overall record and 6-1-0 mark in conference play to claim Lipscomb's fourth regular season title (second consecutive) and the #1 seed in the 2022 ASUN Championship. Morrow's Bisons were ranked No. 1 in nine of ten weeks in the United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Region Poll and was placed as high at No. 10 in the United Soccer Coaches National poll, appearing in the national ranks in every week since defeating then-No. 10 Saint Louis on Aug. 28.
