ATLANTA, Ga. - The ASUN Conference announced the Softball 2001-10 All-Decade Team as 30 student-athletes were named to the list across 13 programs. Stetson led the way with five student-athletes on the All-Decade Team followed by three apiece from UCF, FAU, Kennesaw State and Lipscomb.

During the decade, five programs have captured ASUN Championship titles in FAU (5), Campbell (2), UCF (1), Lipscomb (1) and Stetson (1), while seven student-athletes from six different institutions have landed Player of the Year honors. ASUN squads picked up 13 wins over the decade at NCAA Regionals with five wins coming in shutout fashion with FAU earning all five, two of which were over SEC foe Florida in 2006. 

To be named to the All-Decade Team an individual must have competed for at least two years in the decade as an ASUN student-athlete. Individuals that obtained one of the following criteria were named to the team; three First Team All-Conference selections, four All-Conference selections, multiple Scholar-Athlete/Player of the Year. Individuals that obtained at least two of the following criteria were also named to the team; Player/Pitcher/Tourney MVP/Freshman/Defensive Player, three All-Conference selections, two First Team All-Conference selections.


2001-10 Softball All-Decade Team (listed in alphabetical order by last name)

Ashley Battaglia, North Florida (2008-09)
Battaglia is a two-time First Team All-ASUN selection, one-of-three student-athletes from UNF to achieve that in ASUN history. In her final season at UNF, she set a single-season ASUN record for doubles (25). 
 
Stephanie Best, UCF (2002-05)
- Is only one-of-two players in ASUN history to be named the Player of the Year three consecutive years (2003-05), Best is also No. 1 all-time for career RBI (213), hits (285) and home runs (71). The four-time All-Conference selection with three First Team nods (2003-05) helped the Knights capture one ASUN Championship crown (2005).
 
Jenny Boyd, Troy (2002-05)
- A three-time All-ASUN selection with two First Team honors (2003 and 2005), Boyd helped the Trojans to three top-two finishes in league standings in her four years including 2005 when they won the Regular Season title (17-3). In her senior year, she led the ASUN in hits (84), triples (10) and stolen bases (31).  
 
Lauren Buck, Jacksonville State (1998-01)
- Buck is one-of-three Gamecocks to be a four-time All-Conference honoree and one-of-five to have two First Team nods (2000-01). She was named Player of the Week twice while picking up one Pitcher of the Week honor. In 2001, she helped Jacksonville State earn a share of the Regular Season title as FAU and Stetson joined them in going 9-5, earning the program's highest seed in the ASUN Championship (No. 2). 
 
Morgan Childers, USC Upstate (2008-11)
- The 2008 Freshman and Pitcher of the Year is the winningest pitcher in ASUN history (113 wins), and is No. 2 in strikeouts (1,338), shutouts (42) and appearances (164), while third in innings pitched (930.2), complete games (106) and games started (126). Childers is a four-time All-Conference selection with three First Team nods (2008, 10-11), just one-of-two in ASUN history to earn that honor from Upstate. 
 
Kelley Cowart, Kennesaw State (2006-07)
- In her two seasons in the ASUN, Cowart earned two First Team All-Conference selections, one-of-seven Owls to achieve the honor. She helped KSU capture its first ASUN Regular Season title in 2007 after going 14-4 in just its second year at the DI level. In 2006, the Owls finished second in the standings (15-5). 

Dottie Cupp, UCF (2002-03)
- A two-time First Team All-ASUN selection and All-Tournament team honoree, Cupp helped the Knights advance to the ASUN Championship final for the first time in 2003. She sits sixth for a single-season record for shutouts with 13. In 2003, she led all ASUN pitchers with a season-high 190 strikeouts.  
 
Erica Demers, Stetson (2006-09)
- Demers is the only Stetson player to be named the Freshman of the Year, bringing home the honor in 2006 after helping the Hatters capture the Regular Season crown. She is a two-time All-Conference honoree with a First Team nod her rookie season (2006) and sits fourth in career shutouts (37) and is sixth for wins (77). She helped the Hatters win the fourth ASUN Championship title in program history in 2007 and to three consecutive Championship finals (2006-08). 
 
Lauren Dortwegt, Lipscomb (2007-10)
- A three-time All-ASUN selection with a First Team nod in 2010 after she helped lead the Bisons to the program's first ASUN Championship in 2010 and the program's first outright Regular Season title the same season after going 18-2 in league play. Dortwegt is seventh in career at-bats (782), 10th in hits (265), 13th in runs (150). 
 
Devyn Findley, North Florida (2007-10)
- Findley is one-of-two from UNF to earn the title of ASUN Freshman of the Year (2007), she is also a two-time ASUN All-Conference selection with a First Team nod her rookie year. She sits third all-time in ASUN history for career appearances in the circle (159) and is fifth for career strikeouts (879) coming in her 800.6 innings pitched, seventh in ASUN. 
 
Candice Freel, FAU (2002-05)
- One-of-eight in ASUN history to earn at least three All-Tournament Team honors while being tabbed the MVP in 2004, Freel is a two-time All-Conference selection and was named the 2004 ASUN Pitcher of the Year and the 2002 Freshman of the Year. She helped the FAU capture three consecutive ASUN Regular and Championship titles (2002-04). The former Owl ranks in the top-10 in several career pitching categories - wins (4th; 81), shutouts (5th; 35), innings pitched (6th; 824.2), games started (T7th; 115) and completed games (T8th; 91). 
 
Tamra Howren, Troy (2002-05)
- The only Troy softball player in ASUN history to be a three-time First Team All-Conference selection (2002, 04-05), Howren helped lead the Trojans to its first ASUN Conference Regular Season title in 2005 after going 17-3 in league play. She sits inside the Top-10 in several career categories - RBI (2nd; 202), at-bats (3rd; 804), doubles (4th; 67) and hits (6th; 273). 
 
Cheyenne Jenks, FGCU (2008-09)
- Is one-of-five former Eagles to be a two-time First Team All-ASUN selection (2008-09) and one-of-four to earn the title of ASUN Player of the Year (2009). Jenks is one of the top hitters all-time in ASUN history in just her two seasons in the league. She has the top career slugging percentage (.880) and has the second-highest career batting average (.436). This fall, Jenks will become the second FGCU softball player in the ASUN Hall of Fame as she joins Carmen Paez who was a member of the 2019 class. 
 
Abby Keese, Lipscomb (2007-10)
- A three-time All-Conference selection (2008-10) with a First Team honor her senior season (2010), Keese helped lead the Bisons to the program's first-ever Regular Season and Championship titles, winning both outright in 2010. She is sixth in ASUN history for career home runs (51), ninth in RBI (160) and 16th in slugging percentage (.633). 
 
Jamie Madruga, Mercer (2005-08)
- One-of-two players from Mercer to be a three-time All-ASUN selection with two First Team nods (2006 and 2008), Madruga was also a member of the 2006 All-Tournament Team. She is one of the top sluggers in ASUN history as she ranks sixth for career slugging percentage (.692) and is 12th in batting average (.378) and home runs (41). 
 
Brittany Matthews, Kennesaw State (2006-08) 
- One-of-two KSU pitchers in ASUN history to be tabbed the ASUN Pitcher of the Year (2007), Matthews is also a three-time All-Conference selection with back-to-back First Team honors in 2007 and 2008. She is tied fourth for career saves (11), tied ninth for shutouts (27) and sits tenth for strikeouts (700). She led the league in back-to-back seasons in punchouts with 246 in 2007 and 281 in 2008. In her career, she earned nine Pitcher of the Week honors, the most of any KSU pitcher. 
 
Pam Mazzarella, FAU (2002-05)
- One-of-ten in ASUN history to earn four consecutive First Team All-ASUN honors (2002-05), Mazzarella helped the Owls capture three-consecutive Regular Season titles and Championship crowns (2002-04) while earning two All-Tournament Team honors (2002-03). In her time at FAU, she played in 277 games (4th most in ASUN history) and has 789 at-bats (5th in ASUN).  
 
Andrea Migliori, Stetson (2006-09)
- Migliori is one-of-two Stetson players to be a three-time All-Tournament selection (2006-07, 09) and is one-of-three to be tabbed the Tournament MVP (2006). She is a two-time All-Conference selection that helped lead Stetson to its first Regular Season title in 2006 and the programs fourth Championship title in 2007. The former Hatter is third all-time in ASUN history for RBI (200) and tied third for home runs (57). 
 
Keri McKee, Kennesaw State (2006-07)
- Is one-of-three KSU Owls to earn the title of Player of the Year (2007), McKee is also a two-time First Team All-Conference member and a member of the 2017 ASUN Hall of Fame Class. In 2007, she led the ASUN in hits (81), doubles (22) and batting average (.422). The 22 doubles in 2007 are tied third-most for a single season and her 81 hits are tied seventh. 
 
Nicole Myers, FAU (1999-02)
- Myers is the only player in ASUN history to be named Player of the Year three consecutive times (2000-02), be a four-time First Team All-Conference selection (1999-02) and be named the ASUN Championship MVP. She helped the Owls capture four straight ASUN Regular Season and Championship titles and helped earn two shutout wins in the NCAA Tournament against Big Ten foe Michigan (1999) and SEC foe Florida (2001). At the 2001 ASUN Championship, she set a single-game record for strikeouts (25) and innings pitched (15) in the game against Stetson. She holds the most Pitcher of the Week honors with 17 sits in the Top-2 in several career categories - games (1st; 285), shutouts (1st; 47), appearances (1st; 166), strikeouts (1st; 1,376), innings pitched (1st; 995.2), ERA (2nd; 0.99), wins (2nd; 108), games started (2nd; 128) and complete games (2nd; 120). 
 
Shannon O'Bryan, Campbell (2000-03)
- One-of-two Fighting Camels to be a four-time All-ASUN selection earning two First Team nods in 2000-01, O'Bryan sits in the Top-15 in several of the ASUN career batting records - slugging percentage (4th; .713), doubles (5th; 55), triples (6th; 19), batting average (8th; .389), home runs (T13th; 40), hits (14th; 255), runs (15th; 144). In 2001 she led the league in batting average (.440), hits (80), runs (50), RBI (61), doubles (20) and triples (10). 
 
Carmen Paez, FGCU (2008)
- Paez played in the ASUN Conference for just one year and was tabbed the 2008 ASUN Player of the Year. She holds the league's single-season record for runs (76) and is fourth in RBI (68), and tied fourth for home runs (22). In the fall of 2019, she became the first FGCU softball player to be inducted into the ASUN Hall of Fame. 
 
Corrie Roberts, Georgia State (1999-02)
- Is one-of-two Panthers to be a four-time First Team All-ASUN selection (1999-02), Roberts helped her team advance to the ASUN Championship final in 2002 and earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. She is one of the ASUNs top career hitters as she second in doubles (68), seventh in hits (271) and tied seventh for triples (18).  
 
Katie Rosentreter, Mercer (2003-06)
- Rosentreter is a two-time First Team All-Conference honoree and earned six Pitcher of the Week honors in her time as an ASUN pitcher. The 2006 ASUN Pitcher of the Year sits at eighth all-time in ASUN history for career strikeouts (722) and led the league in strikeouts in 2006 (245). She is a two-time All-Tournament Team member also, earning a spot in 2003 and 2004. 
 
Jania Shinhoster, UCF (2002-05)
- Is a three-time All-ASUN selection with back-to-back First Team nods in 2003 and 2004, Shinhoster helped the Knights earn three straight trips to the ASUN Championship final (2003-05) winning the programs lone title in 2005 over the No. 1 seed Troy. She was named to the ASUN All-Tournament team twice (2004-05) and ranks in the Top-10 in career at-bats (1st; 848), games (T6th; 271), runs (8th; 163), doubles (T8th; 50) and hits (9th; 268). 

Kellie Sirus, Lipscomb (2007-10)
- Sirus led the Bisons to the program's first ASUN Championship and Regular Season titles in 2010 and was tabbed the Tournament MVP. She is a three-time All-Conference selection with back-to-back First Team honors in 2009-10 and sits inside the ASUN's Top-10 in several career batting records - RBI (5th; 180), runs (T6th; 164) and home runs (T8th; 45). 
 
Brittany Stanley, Campbell (2007-10)
- The 2009 ASUN Pitcher of the Year led the Fighting Camels to the program's first ASUN Regular Season crown after going 16-4 in league play. Stanley also helped Campbell to back-to-back ASUN Championship crowns (2008-09) and is one-of-two Campbell players to earn two All-Tournament honors and was named the Tournament MVP both years Campbell claimed the title. 

Tiffany Tolleson, Stetson (2000-01)
- A two-time First Team All-Conference selection (2000-01), Tolleson in just two seasons in the conference stole a career total of 93 bases, tied for eighth-most in ASUN history. In 2000, she led the league in hits (76), runs (44) and stolen bases (54), setting an ASUN single-season record for stolen bases.

Melissa Wiggins, Stetson (2003-06)
- The 2006 ASUN Player of the Year, Wiggins is a three-time All-ASUN selection with back-to-back First Team honors in 2005 and 2006 after she helped the Hatters capture the Regular Season title her final season (2006). She is tied second all-time in ASUN history for career doubles (68), third in hits (284), sixth in RBI (179) while she sits with the most Player of the Week honors of any Stetson player (6). 

Shawna Wiggs, Stetson
 (2003-06)
- A two-time First Team All-Conference selection (2005-06), Wiggs was a member of the team that helped Stetson to a 16-4 record that clinched them the Regular Season crown in 2006. In her finals season in DeLand, she led the ASUN in runs for the 2006 season (47).
