ASUN Beam Report - July 1

ATLANTA, Ga. - Bellarmine University begins Division I competition today in the ASUN Conference as the Knights will compete with the rest of the conference's member institutions for ASUN Championships in the 2020-21 academic year.  The scarlet and silver will be eligible for NCAA Division I Championship competition in 2024-25.

The Knights' men's basketball program enters the conference with ten consecutive 20-win seasons and a Division II National Championship in 2011.  The Knights Volleyball program is coming off three-straight 20-win volleyball seasons and an NCAA at-large bid in 2017.  Bellarmine Baseball has made nine trips to the NCAA Tournament, advancing as far as the Regional Championship in 2013.  Meanwhile, the women's soccer program has qualified for the NCAA Tournament six of the past 11 seasons. 

Founded in 1950, the Catholic university fields 22 sports and an enrollment of nearly 3500 students.  Bellarmine is listed in the Princeton Review's Best 384 Colleges and is a top university in Forbes' list of America's best colleges.
