Stetson's Dunn and Thomas Earn Second Consecutive #ASUNBVB Pair of the Year

DELAND, Fla. - Stetson's duo of Darby Dunn and Sammee Thomas captured their second consecutive ASUN Conference Pair of the Year honor, while Head Coach Kristina Hernandez earned her third straight Coach of the Year award. The ASUN Freshman of the Year accolade went to FGCU's Kirstine Garder.
Dunn and Thomas earned their second consecutive Pair of the Year honor after going 27-7 overall this season and a perfect 8-0 vs. ASUN opponents. The two-time ASUN Pair of the Week led the conference in dual match victories, 12 being over ranked foes and have won 20 of their last 22 matches.
Garder, just two wins shy of tying the FGCU program record for freshman wins, is 14-9 overall this season at the No. 1 pair with a 4-4 ASUN record. She has won four of her last five matches entering postseason play and is one of only four freshmen in school history to win at least 14 games in their rookie year.
After leading the Hatters to their fifth consecutive ASUN crown, Hernandez earns her third straight Coach of the Year award. Stetson, currently ranked No. 8 in the nation, have won 10 straight matches and 34 in a row vs. ASUN foes (including postseason). Stetson has a 26-8 overall record and 8-0 in ASUN play.
