Pete Dunn led the Stetson Baseball program to great success on the field, helping guide the Hatters to 1,312 victories over the span of 37 years in the dugout. Coaching Baseball is all Dunn ever really wanted to do, and even though he is much more than just a coach, Dunn's squads averaged 35.4 wins a season during his tenure and made 17 NCAA Regional Tournament appearances. He helped Stetson to nine Atlantic Sun Conference titles and was named Coach of the Year on an ASUN-record six occasions (1988-90, '96, 2007 and 2011). A total of 84 student-athletes who played for Dunn went on to play professional baseball. Five of those players were drafted in the first four rounds of the MLB Amateur Draft and nine have reached the Major Leagues. In January of 2014, the Stetson legend was inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame at the ABCA Convention in Dallas.
