  • Stetson's Deisa and Oscarson Join UNF's Moro in Earning @ASUNVolleyball Weekly Honors

    ATLANTA, Ga. - Stetson's Eva Deisa and Kaylee Oscarson earned ASUN Conference Volleyball Player and Freshman of the Week honors, respectively, while North Florida's Rocio Moro was named Defensive Player of the Week, announced Monday by the league office. Deisa and Oscarson helped the Hatters to their first win in program history against Liberty. Moro tallied 29 digs in the Osprey's five-set victory over crosstown rival Jacksonville in the Sunday's River City Rumble.

    ATLANTA, Ga. - Road teams took the majority of victories on Sunday afternoon in ASUN Conference Volleyball matches, while FGCU was the lone home team to defend its own court. The Eagles joined Lipscomb, North Florida and Stetson in collecting wins to wrap up the weekend's action.

The Eagles, Owls and Flames all recorded their fifth conference wins of the season, while the Hatters picked up their first.

    ATLANTA, Ga. - Lipscomb's Morgan Elmore earned the ASUN Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors while Kennesaw State's Karlee Groover was named Defensive Player of the Week and Jacksonville's Sydney Bolding was tabbed Freshman of the Week, announced Monday by the league office. Bolding and Elmore each won their first career awards, while Groover captured her third career accolade.

FGCU went on the road to sweep North Florida while Jacksonville defended its home court against NJIT. Both Kennesaw State and Liberty earned road victories in their matches against Lipscomb and North Alabama, respectively.

    ATLANTA, Ga. - The second weekend of ASUN Conference Volleyball action begins Friday with four matches, followed by three on Saturday and a pair of contests to wrap up the weekend on Sunday. In addition, two teams remain unbeaten in league play, Kennesaw State and Liberty, and both are slated to travel to Lipscomb. Lipscomb has finished among the top-4 in the conference every year since 2008. The Owls will face the Bisons on Friday, while the Flames travel to Nashville on Saturday.

(JUDolphins.com) – Continuing her reign as the top hitter in the ASUN Conference, freshman Sydney Bolding recorded a career-high 17 kills and hit .536 (17-2-28) to lead the Jacksonville University volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep at Bethune-Cookman, Tuesday evening at Moore Gymnasium. The win lifts the Dolphins to a 53-0 mark all-time against the Wildcats.

The Lions defeated the Highlanders on the road while the Eagles, Owls and Flames defended their home courts against Lipscomb, Stetson and North Florida, respectively.

(LibertyFlames.com) – Liberty swept the visiting Jacksonville Dolphins (25-15, 25-21, 25-23) on Saturday at the Vines Center, its second straight sweep to begin ASUN play. The Lady Flames (9-5, 2-0 ASUN) run their overall winning streak to four matches, while Liberty has won 11 home matches in a row. The Dolphins fall to 4-11, 1-1 in ASUN play.

All nine squads will play a pair of conference games this weekend, with Jacksonville and NJIT playing one match.

This is the first award of the season for Sutphin and second for VanLiew, Axner and Moro.

    ATLANTA, Ga. - FGCU, Jacksonville, Liberty and North Florida were all victorious in Friday ASUN Volleyball action. The day was bookended by the Eagles taking down Miami in three straight sets, then defeating UCF 3-1. The Ospreys also had a sweep on the day in their match against Jackson State. The Dolphins defeated Davidson while the Flames were winners over Louisiana in a five-set match.

Of the 24 matches this weekend, eight will be broadcasted live with one of those streamed on the ESPN+ platform.
