ATLANTA, Ga. - Tryouts for the U.S. Women's National Team commence on Friday, March 1st in Colorado Springs, Colo. and the ASUN will be well represented, as four student-athletes will be competing for a spot on the team. There will be 218 student-athletes from 87 different universities vying for spots on the team.

For the second-straight season, Kennesaw State will be represented, as outside hitter Lauren Chastang and setter Lexi Broadwater will be in attendance. Chastang was a First Team All-Conference selection in 2018 and helped the Owls reach the ASUN Championship Final. Broadwater was voted the 2018 Setter of the Year by the coaches. She ranked in the top-20 nationally in assists/set with 11.28.

Casey Goodwin of Liberty will be making the trip out west, as well. Goodwin was one of the best players in the league last season, as she was named First Team All-Conference. She finished the year ranked fifth in the ASUN in kills/set at 3.00, first in aces with 40 and she led the Flames in double-digit kill matches with 14.

The fourth and final student-athlete from the ASUN is the 2016 ASUN Freshman of the Year, Gabby O'Connell from North Florida. After missing the 2017 campaign due to injury, O'Connell bounced back this past season to finish fifth in the ASUN in total kills with 320, eighth in kills/set at 2.64 and lead UNF to an ASUN Championship berth
