FGCU's Maggie Rick Garners FGCU's Second-Straight Scholar-Athlete Award

2018 ASUN Conference All-Academic Team

ATLANTA, Ga. - The ASUN Conference office announced FGCU's Maggie Rick as the ASUN Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year to highlight the seven-person All-Academic team, announced at Wednesday's championship banquet.

FGCU's Rick adds to her academic accolades with her first career ASUN Scholar-Athlete honor as she landed on the All-Academic Team for the third-straight year. Owning a 3.89 GPA as a senior Economics Major, Rick led the Eagles to their first ASUN Regular Season title since 2012 with a league record of 15-1 record. She also earned Second Team All-Conference honors for the second-straight season. 

The All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. All the members of the team boast a 3.30 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
