  • Four #ASUNVB Student-Athletes to Tryout for Team USA

    ATLANTA, Ga. - Tryouts for the U.S. Women's National Team commence on Friday, March 1st in Colorado Springs, Colo. and the ASUN will be well represented, as four student-athletes will be competing for a spot on the team. There will be 218 student-athletes from 87 different universities vying for spots on the team.
  • Pedro Trevino Named NJIT Women's Volleyball Coach

    NEWARK, NJ--Pedro Trevino, the setter on some of NJIT's greatest men's volleyball teams from 1997 to 2000, has been named head coach of the NJIT women's volleyball program Assistant Vice President/Director of Athletics Lenny Kaplan announced.

Throughout the year, the ASUN will feature two student-athletes from each institution that epitomizes the conference's beam of Students First.
  • FGCU's VanLiew Becomes First D-I AVCA All-American In Program History

    FORT MYERS, Fla. - Cortney VanLiew, a sophomore outside hitter on the FGCU volleyball team, has been named an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention All-American this morning. She becomes the first player in the program's Division-I era to earn the honor.
  • Four #ASUNVB Players Named to AVCA All-Region Team

    ATLANTA, Ga. - Four ASUN Conference Volleyball players were named to the 2018 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region teams on Tuesday. The 2018 ASUN Champion FGCU Eagles were well represented, as ASUN Player of the Year, Cortney VanLiew and teammate Sharonda Pickering earned spots on the Southeast Region Team. Lipscomb's Carlyle Nusbaum earned a spot on the South Region Team, while Kennesaw State's Lexi Broadwater also garnered a spot on the team as well.

    ATLANTA, Ga. - FGCU's Maggie Rick excels as a student being twice named the ASUN Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earning a slot on the All-Academic team for the third-straight season. A member of Honors College at Florida Gulf Coast University, Rick has received a Blue and Green Directors Award Scholarship.
  • FGCU Opens NCAA Volleyball Tournament Play Thursday

    ORLANDO, Fla. - The FGCU volleyball team (26-6) will open NCAA Tournament play with a first-round matchup against No. 13 seed UCF (27-3) on Thursday at 7 p.m. in The Venue at UCF. Should the Green and Blue win in what will be the program's first appearance in the single-elimination tournament, they would advance to Friday's 7 p.m. second-round match to meet the winner of Thursday's 4:30 p.m. matchup between Florida and Florida State. FGCU looks to be the first ASUN Volleyball team to advance in the NCAA Tournament since 2003.
  • FGCU Volleyball to face UCF in NCAA Championship First Round

    INDIANAPOLIS – The FGCU volleyball team will face No. 21 UCF in the first round of the NCAA Championship at 7 p.m. Nov. 29 inside The Venue at UCF, it was announced on the NCAA Selection Show Sunday night on ESPNU.

    KENNESAW, Ga. - The 2018 ASUN Conference Volleyball Championship rolls on into the semifinal matches on Friday evening at the KSU Convocation Center. Friday's action kicks off with No. 1 FGCU taking on No. 4 Liberty, followed by the nightcap between No. 2 Kennesaw State and No. 3 Lipscomb. 
  • No. 1 FGCU Throws Block Party to Advance to Third Straight ASUN Final

    KENNESAW, Ga. - No. 1 FGCU advances to their third-straight ASUN Conference Volleyball Championship Final, as they took down No. 4 Liberty in straight sets on Friday night at the KSU Convocation Center. The Eagles were led by Player of the Year, Cortney VanLiew, who notched 16 kills, nine digs, five blocks. As a team, the Eagles recorded 18 blocks, just four and half blocks off the ASUN Championship record. 
  • No. 2 Kennesaw State Advances to Second-Straight ASUN Championship Final

    KENNESAW, Ga. - No. 2 Kennesaw State advances back to the ASUN Conference Volleyball Championship Final for the second straight season, as they took down No. 3 Lipscomb in five sets. Lauren Chastang led the way with 21 kills and eight digs. More to come...
  • 2018 @ASUNVolleyball Championship Commences on Thursday Night

    KENNESAW, Ga. - The 2018 ASUN Volleyball Conference Championship opens play on Thursday even with two contests in the First Round. ASUN newcomer No. 4 Liberty and No. 5 Stetson tangle in the first match at 5 PM ET on ESPN+. Liberty searches for their first conference title since 2012, while Stetson looks to make their first semifinal appearance since 1995.
  • No. 4 Liberty Defeats No. 5 Stetson in First Round Of #ASUNVB Championship

    KENNESAW, Ga. - The No. 4 Liberty Flames took down No. 5 Stetson in first round action of the 2018 ASUN Volleyball Conference Championship on Thursday evening at the KSU Convocation Center. The Flames took the match in straight sets, helping them advance to the semifinal on Friday night against No. 1 FGCU. 
  • No. 3 Lipscomb Advances to 14th Consecutive Semifinal Appearance

    KENNESAW, Ga. - No. 3 Lipscomb downed No. 6 North Florida in first round action of the 2018 ASUN Volleyball Championship. The Bisons took the match in four sets to advance to their 14th consecutive semifinal. Lipscomb now gets host and No. 2 seed Kennesaw State on Friday night at 7:30 PM ET.

  • Top Seed FGCU Dominates @ASUNVolleyball Postseason Awards

    ATLANTA, Ga. - ASUN Conference Volleyball Regular Season Champions, FGCU, claimed four of the five league's top honors honors on Wednesday night at the annual awards banquet. FGCU's Cortney VanLiew was named an unanimous selection for Player of the Year, while Dana Axner claimed both Freshman and Defensive Player of the year. Head Coach Matt Botsford earned Coach of the Year after guiding the Eagles to a 15-1 conference record and their first ASUN Regular Season Title since 2012.

    ATLANTA, Ga. - Three Saturday contests concluded the ASUN Conference Volleyball Regular Season with North Florida, Kennesaw State and FGCU earning victories. North Florida took down NJIT, while Kennesaw State defeated Jacksonville in straight sets. The Eagles clinched the ASUN Regular Season Title outright with a win over Liberty. 
  • UNF Clinches ASUN Championship Spot; Lipscomb Defeats JU in Season Finale

    ATLANTA, Ga. - North Florida and Lipscomb picked up victories in Friday night's ASUN Conference Volleyball action. With the win, UNF clinched the sixth and final spot in the ASUN Championship next week. Lipscomb wrapped up their regular season with its 17th victory in a sweep of JU.

  • Final Championship Spot On the Line In Final @ASUNVolleyball Weekend

    ATLANTA, Ga. - ASUN Conference Volleyball regular season action wraps this weekend with one championship berth still on the line. FGCU, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Liberty and Stetson have all earned their spot, while the former three have also clinched their seeding. Stetson and Liberty secure their seeds this weekend, while Jacksonville & North Florida look to claim the sixth and final spot in the Championship.
