LakePoint, Ga. - Three teams split doubleheaders to highlight Saturday's ASUN Conference Volleyball action. FGCU, Jacksonville and USC Upstate each picked up a victory in their non-conference tournaments on Saturday afternoon.

Jacksonville split the day at the Alabama State Invitational after defeating Southeastern Louisiana 3-1 and falling in five sets to Alabama State. In the opening match, the Dolphins got off to a slow start as they dropped the opening set 25-12. With the start of the second frame, the Dolphins took over control of the match behind three players in double-digit kills. Amarrah Cooks and Cristina Finan tied for team-high honors with 12 kills, while Hannah Marchand added 10 kills. Mackenzie Swan was a defensive force with 20 digs, while Olga Nushtayeva had a team-best three blocks. After winning sets two and three by the score of 25-19, the Dolphins finished off the match with a 25-12 victory in set four. The Dolphins were down 2-0 against Alabama State but battled to force a fifth set. Unfortunately the comeback couldn't be completed as Alabama State won the final set 15-9.
FGCU won a hard fought battle in Saturday's opening match, defeating host Davidson 3-2 in a thrilling comeback. After falling behind 2-1, the Eagles dug deep and won 25-12 in the fourth set and 15-11 in the fifth set to secure the victory. Later in the day, the Eagles fell in straight sets to SEC foe Georgia to close out the Wildcat Classic with a 2-1 mark. Cortney VanLiew led the team with 17 kills in the first match. Maggie Rick ran the offense and finished with 50 assists. The Eagles hit .302 for the match, including .519 in the fourth set. Amanda Carroll (13) and Daniele Serrano (11) joined VanLiew in double figures. In the second match of the day,
USC Upstate split the day at the Wake Forest Invitational playing two five set thrillers. After falling to the Deamon Deacons in the first match of the day, the Spartans picked up a 3-2 win against Williams and Mary to close out Saturday's action. Madison Haake had a tremendous day, posting back-to-back triple doubles for the Spartans. She had 13 kills, 13 digs and 20 assists in the victory against William and Mary. The Spartans also got 11 kills and seven blocks from Lily Dempsey. After leading 2-0, the Spartans found themselves in another fifth set. They took control early and never let William and Mary back into the set as they won 15-8 to close out the match.
