  • Six @ASUNVolleyball Programs Honored for Academics by AVCA

    LakePoint, Ga. - A combined five ASUN Indoor and Beach Volleyball teams were honored this week by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as Team Academic Award recipients for the 2017-18 academic year. A total of 164 Division I indoor teams and 19 beach teams were recognized.
  • ASUN Conference Announces Liberty University as League Member for 2018-19

    LYNCHBURG, Va. – The ASUN Conference announced today the induction of Liberty University into the league after a unanimous vote by the ASUN Presidents Council. The Flames will become a member of the ASUN Conference starting with the 2018-19 season alongside the University of North Alabama, bringing the ASUN membership up to nine.

  • Evan Muys Named Head Coach of Jacksonville Volleyball

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Evan Muys has been named head coach of Jacksonville University's indoor and beach volleyball teams following a national search, as announced Thursday by Athletic Director Alex Ricker-Gilbert. A 2017 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Thirty Under 30 recipient, Muys becomes the 10th head coach in the Dolphins' 46-year history.

  • Carroll, Nusbaum & Engelbrecht Named to AVCA All-Region Teams

    LakePoint, Ga. - Three ASUN Volleyball players were named to 2017 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region teams on Tuesday. ASUN Players of the Year, Carlyle Nusbaum of Lipscomb and Amanda Carroll of FGCU earned spots on the All-South and All-Southeast teams, while Kennesaw State middle blocker Liesl Engelbrecht saw herself on the All-South team as well. 
  • Kennesaw State Owls Drop NCAA Tournament Opening Round Match to Oregon

    Kennesaw State volleyball saw its historic season come to an end in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Oregon in Provo, Utah on Friday, December 1. Like the Owls always do, they left everything they had on the court and made Oregon earn the win.
  • Kennesaw State Opens NCAA Tournament Action On Friday Against Oregon

    Lake Point, Ga - Kennesaw State plays in its first NCAA Tournament on Friday, December 1 against Oregon in Provo, Utah at BYU. The Owls match begins at 6 p.m. ET. Oregon finished the season 17-11 losing four of their last five matches. They are ranked no. 24 by the AVCA and have been in the rankings all season.

  • No. 1 Kennesaw State Meets No. 3 FGCU in @ASUNVolleyball Championship Final

    Nashville, Tenn. - A new champion crowned on Saturday night. Kennesaw State and FGCU are making returns to the title game, but neither have yet to win it. Kennesaw State took care of host Lipscomb on Friday evening, taking the match in four sets. FGCU upset No. 2 Jacksonville, in convincing fashion with a 3-0 sweep. 
  • Owls Bring The Fight & Collect First-Ever @ASUNVolleyball Championship Trophy

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. - No. 1 Kennesaw State dispatched No. 3 FGCU in the 2017 ASUN Championship Final on Saturday evening in Lipscomb's Allen Arena with a 3-0 sweep of the Eagles. It marks the first-ever ASUN Championship title for KSU as the Owls were making their second appearance in the title game.

    Nashville, Tenn. -  With two quick sweeps on Thursday, the ASUN Volleyball Conference Championship Semifinals will feature the four top team in the ASUN.  No. 1 Kennesaw State will look to advance to the Finals for the first time since 2015, when they take on host Lipscomb, who looks to return to the Finals for the 10th time in 11 seasons. In match two of the night, Jacksonville takes on in-state foe FGCU. The Eagles and Dolphins split the season series.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. - No. 1 seeded Kennesaw State toppled No. 4 Lipscomb, 3-1, to reach their second-ever ASUN Championship Final behind a program record 22.5 blocks. ASUN Setter of the Year Kristi Piedimonte posted an all-around match with three kills, 37 assists, eight digs and seven blocks, while three-time First Team All-Conference selection Anaiah Boyer added 16 kills, 20 digs and four blocks.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. - No. 3 FGCU upset the No. 2 seed for the second-straight season to earn a spot in Saturday's ASUN Championship Final with a 3-0 sweep of Jacksonville. It marks the Eagles' third-ever appearance in the ASUN Final as Player of the Year Amanda Carroll posted a game-high 18 kills to go along with 17 digs, while Freshman of the Year Snowy Burnam registered 13 kills and 11 digs with seven blocks.
  • 2017 @ASUNVolleyball Championship Begins with First Round Games

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The 2016 ASUN Volleyball Conference Championship opens play on Thursday with two contests in the First Round. No. 4 Lipscomb and No. 5 North Florida tangle in the first match at 5 PM CT on ESPN3. Lipscomb is looking to make it a three-peat at this event, as they were the champions in 2015 & 2016. North Florida hopes to advance to its first semifinal since 2012.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. - No. 4 Lipscomb defeated No. 5 North Florida, 3-0, in the first match of the 2017 ASUN Conference Volleyball Championship on Thursday evening in Allen Arena. The two-time ASUN Player of the Year, Carlyle Nusbaum led the way for the Bisons with a match-high 17 kills, while Maddie Phillips contributed 11 kills and three blocks.
  • Eagles Earn Seventh-Straight Semifinal Trip; Face Dolphins on Friday

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. - No. 3 FGCU defeated No. 6 USC Upstate in straight sets to advance to their seventh-straight ASUN Championship Semifinal on Thursday night at Lipscomb's Allen Arena. Snowy Burnam (12) and Giovanna Borgiotti (11) combined for 23 kills in the victory, while ASUN Player of the Year Amanda Carroll made an impact defensively with 20 digs.

    LakePoint, Ga. - With the 2017 ASUN Conference Volleyball regular season coming to a close, Kennesaw State's Kristi Piedimonte, Lipscomb's Brittany Thomas and North Florida's Devin Wheeler collected the final weekly awards, announced by the conference office on Monday.
  • KSU Wins First Outright Reg. Season Title; #ASUNVB Championship Field Set

    LakePoint, Ga. - Four matches closed out the 2017 ASUN Volleyball season on Saturday evening, securing the seeds for the 2017 ASUN Championship. Kennesaw State, who clinched the No. 1 seed on Friday night, secured their first ever outright ASUN Regular Season Title on Saturday by taking down FGCU 3-1. Jacksonville defeated USC Upstate in the River City, while North Florida clinched the No. 5 seed with their win over NJIT. Lipscomb closed out its regular season with a win against Stetson. 
  • KSU Secures Share of Title; UNF Clinches Spot in ASUN Championship

    LakePoint, Ga. - The 2017 ASUN Volleyball Championship field is set after Friday night. With North Florida's sweep of USC Upstate and NJIT's loss to Jacksonville, the Ospreys clinched the sixth and last spot in field. Kennesaw State clinched at least a share of the regular season title after sweeping Stetson. FGCU recorded their first season sweep of Lipscomb since 2012 by downing the Bisons in straight sets down in Fort Myers.
