Opening Set Of #ASunVB Weekly Honors Announced

MACON, Ga. - Lipscomb's Brittnay Estes, Jacksonville's Mayara Prestes and Stetson's McKenna Foster claimed the first Atlantic Sun Volleyball Weekly awards after the opening weekend of the 2014 season, the league office announced on Tuesday. 

Estes led the Lady Bisons to a 2-1 start, their best since 2010 at the Kansas Invitational. She recorded a double-double in the win over No. 23 Kansas, and her first career triple-double in a match vs. Creighton. 

Prestes set a new career-high in digs with 28 in a victory over Gardner-Webb. The Dolphins libero totalled 60 kills over the weekend and leads the conference with a 5.45 digs per set average.

Foster was awarded the Freshman of the Week award, after she recorded 35 kills and helped Stetson get off to a 2-1 start. The outside hitter averaged 2.92 kills per set, while also getting 22 digs and seven blocks over the weekend.

- Led Lipscomb to best start after three games since the 2010 season
