ATLANTA, Ga. - Courtney Brenner became Lipscomb's second-ever ASUN Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year as she joined Dani Walker (2013) to highlight the 12-person All-Academic Team.
Brenner also earned the ASUN Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year accolade as she owns a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA as a Dietetics major at Lipscomb. At the 2019 ASUN Indoor Championship, Brenner totaled 20 points with victories in the 3,000-meter & 5,000-meter runs. She ran the 3,000m in 9:44.18, 15 seconds faster than second place, while her time of 5,000m time of 16:40.19 bested the runner-up by nearly 30 seconds.
The All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the track and in the classroom and exemplify the ASUN's mission of Building Winners for Life. All the members of the team boast a 3.30 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's events.
