UNF's Meyer and JU's Phillips Capture #ASUNTF Awards

LakePoint, Ga. - North Florida's Eden Meyer and Jacksonville's Stormm Phillips made it a second-straight River City sweep in the ASUN Track & Field Weekly Awards. Meyer had a strong showing at the Music City Challenge, breaking a school record in the 5000m, while Phillips led all collegians in the triple jump at the same meet.

Meyer takes home her third career ASUN Indoor Track Athlete of the Week award. This past weekend, she broke the UNF school indoor record in the 5000m with a time of 16:23.66. Her mark was also good enough for a third place in the event and bettered her PR and school record by nine seconds. This season, Meyer leads the ASUN in the 5000m and ranks 52nd nationally.

Phillips garnered her third career ASUN Indoor Field Athlete of the Week award. Phillips was the best of all collegians in the triple jump at the Music City Challenge and finished second overall with a leap of 12.80m Her jump was just five inches shy of tying her PR and school record. She also leads the ASUN in triple jump and ranks 30th in the nation in the event.

- Will compete next at the ASUN Indoor Championships
