2018 #ASUNWSOC Season Preview: Jacksonville Dolphins

LakePoint, Ga. - With the 2018 ASUN Women's Soccer season around the corner, we scope out our nine conference squads in preparation for the 26th season of ASUN Women's Soccer beginning August 16.

Jacksonville begins a new era under head coach Laura Kane who comes over after holding the position of assistant head coach at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. During her time with the Mountain Lions, Kane helped turn the program around and led them to their first Division II Final Four appearance.

Kane's first roster at Jacksonville adds nine newcomers and returns 15 players from a 5-11 squad in 2017. Key returners include junior Zoe Zinis who returns as the leading goal scorer after netting four a year ago. In goal, Fan-Voted Preseason Goalkeeper of The Year and Defensive Player of The Year Brittany Hundley begins her final season with the Dolphins with a career .750 save percentage. Defender Danielle Henry brings experience to the back end as well as the second-highest returning point total with four. The Dolphins open their season at home versus Troy on August 16.
