NJIT's Batista & FGCU's Weck Pick Up #ASUNWSOC Week Four Awards

LakePoint, Ga. - NJIT's Noelle Batista and FGCU's Melissa Weck earned the fourth ASUN Conference Women's Soccer weekly awards of the season, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Batista, the ASUN Player of the Week, scored the game-winning goal for NJIT securing a 3-2 victory over Fairfield. The junior put a header in the back of the net off a free-kick in the 80th minute, recording her first goal of the season. Batista also tallied a corner-kick assist in the Highlanders' 3-1 win against Rider, totaling her assists to two on the season.

FGCU goalkeeper, Weck earns ASUN Defensive Player of the Week after an impressive 10 saves in the Eagles 1-0 win over Arizona. The sophomore recorded her fifth shutout of the season against the Wildcats, a Pac-12 Conference member, and secured FGCU's fifth-straight victory of the season. Weck also leads the ASUN in saves (33) and is third in GAA (0.80).
