2017 #ASUNWSOC Season Preview: Kennesaw State Owls

LakePoint, Ga. With the 2017 ASUN Women's Soccer season around the corner, we scope out our eight conference squads in preparation for the 25th season of ASUN Women's Soccer beginning August 18.

Kennesaw State prepares for its second season under head coach, Benji Walton, who joined the team in January 2016. Walton's impact resulted in a 10-8-1 record and a trip to the ASUN Championship Semifinalsfor the eighth time in program history. 

The Owls, who finished fourth in the ASUN Conference last season, return six starters and add 13 newcomers to its roster. KSU brings back vital scorers, Abby Roth and Jessica Sexton who combined for a total of six goals last season. KSU also welcomes back senior goalkeeper, Mady Carter, who appeared in a career-high nine games and recorded a 5-3 record last season. The Owls' first match of the regular season is August 18 at Winthrop.
