CONWAY, S.C. - Top-seeded Jacksonville registered a dominant victory in the 2019 ASUN Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship against No. 4 Kennesaw State with a final score of 24-8. With the triumph, the Dolphins reach their third-straight ASUN Final and the sixth over the past seven seasons. First Team All-Conference members Jenny Kinsey & Lillie Miller combined for 15 goals & 19 points to highlight the Jacksonville high-octane attack.

The Dolphins raced out to a 16-3 lead at halftime on only 22 shots with 19 finding frame. Jacksonville trailed for only 52 seconds during the match as a 16-0 run pushed a 3-3 tie at the 25:55 mark of the first half to a 19-3 advantage four minutes into the second half. JU's defense shut down the ASUN Co-Player of the Year, Siena Gore, as she tallied only three goals on eight shots. Kinsey's 10 points on eight goals and two assists led the way for Jacksonville followed by seven goals and two assists from Miller. In total, eight Dolphins registered goals on the day with Alyssa Arnold (3) and McKenna Rushford (2) adding multi-goal efforts.

The victory improved Jacksonville's record to 15-3, marking JU's second-straight season with at least 15 victories and third in the past five seasons. The Dolphins increased their win streak against conference foes to 18, which dates back to the 2017 regular season. JU's 16-goal victory is tied for the second-largest margin of victory in ASUN Championship history, previously accomplished by Jacksonville in 2014.

Kennesaw State's season ends with an 8-10, which ties the program's record for wins in a season previously set in 2017. Gore's conference leading season goal total increased to 70, which sits just one short of her goal total from last season. Emily Napierala added one assist in the match to push her season total to 25, which is tied for third-most this season.

Jacksonville advances to face the winner of Thursday's second semifinal against No. 2 Liberty & No. 3 Coastal Carolina at 4 PM ET. The Dolphins defeated both teams earlier this season with a 19-6 win vs. Liberty & a 15-11 decision against Coastal Carolina. Both matches took place on JU's home field.
