    ATLANTA, Ga. - The calendar is about to flip for the first time in the ASUN Conference Women's Basketball season and the nine league programs are readying for December play as non-conference play goes past its halfway point in the coming week. As we enter the final month of 2018, North Alabama remains the league's top team at 7-0, one of just six teams to have at least seven wins and stay undefeated across the nation. FGCU sports a 5-2 record as well with Jacksonville and Kennesaw State adding three wins each through the first few weeks of the season.

    KENNESAW, Ga.- Behind a career-nights from Simina Avram and Amani Johnson, the Owls (3-5) pummeled Georgia Southern (2-6), 78-59 inside KSU Convocation Center. Avram netted a career-high 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, while Johnson poured in 17 points and dished out a career-high 11 assists.
  • Ulel's Heroics Help FGCU Pick Up Tough Win Over Houston

    FORT MYERS, Fla. -Nasrin Ulel scored five points over the final 1:13, including a 3-pointer with 37 seconds left that proved to be the difference, as the FGCU women's basketball team (5-2) survived a 28-point fourth-quarter surge from Houston (3-5) to produce a 76-71 win at Alico Arena on Wednesday. It is the team's third consecutive win.

  • Dolphins Top Buccaneer Classic Hosts in Second Road Victory

    CHARLESTON, S.C. - Jacksonville women's basketball (3-3) grabbed their third win of the season Sunday night in a 68-58 victory over the Charleston Southern Buccaneers (1-4). It was the second game Jacksonville had played in as many days as part of the Buccaneer Classic Invitational. In the game, Jacksonville led by as much as 22 points, and had three different players reach double figures in scoring.

    SAVANNAH, Ga. - Jacksonville women's basketball (2-2) collected their second win of the season tonight, defeating the Savannah State Tigers 68-58 in Savannah, Ga. Though they held a sturdy lead through much of the game, the Dolphins had to work to put the Tigers away in the fourth quarter of their third consecutive road game this season.

    FLORENCE – The University of North Alabama women's basketball team forced 33 turnovers against Alabama State Monday night and remained undefeated on the season with a 68-42 home win. Three players reached double figures as the Lions (5-0) knocked off the first Division I team to visit Flowers Hall since UNA made the transition to Division I and the ASUN Conference.

    ATLANTA, Ga. - The University of North Alabama women's basketball team cruised to 3-0 due to a solid defensive performance in a 70-42 victory over Blue Mountain. The University of North Florida put up 99 points in their home-opener against Trinity Baptist. Eight different Osprey's scored, improving their record to 1-1.
