Lipscomb's Poyner Collects Third Career #ASUNXC Runner of the Week

LakePoint, Ga. - Lipscomb's Jacob Poyner landed his second ASUN Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor of the season after competing in the Louisville Classic, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Running against seven nationally-ranked teams, Poyner and the Bisons grabbed 12th place in a field of 30 teams on Saturday. The senior from Winona Lake, Ind., finishing in 49th out of 326 runners in a time of 24:31.1 - the fastest time in the ASUN this week by 34 seconds. The Bisons conclude their regular season on Oct. 14th with split meets; the Princeton Invite and the UTC Frontrunner Invite.
