ATLANTA, Ga. - The 2019 ASUN Indoor Track & Field Championship takes place this Friday and Saturday from Liberty's Indoor Track & Field Complex.
The women's field is packed full of individuals ranked nationally in their respective events including Jacksonville's Savyon Toombs, Kennesaw State's Jordan Gray who both enter in the top-15 for the 200m dash & long jump respectively. In total, nine ASUN women's student-athletes sit in the top-100 nationally. The Dolphins enter as the defending conference champs, while the Owls and host Flames look to knock them off the pedestal this year.
The race for the Men's Trophy shapes up to be a two-team race with Kennesaw State and Liberty bringing strong squads to the conference meet. The seven-time defending ASUN Champion Owls are led by Paris Willams, who ranks nationally in the 60-meter Hurdles & the Heptathlon. Liberty has won an incredible 21-straight Big South Indoor title enters to their home facility with five individuals nationally ranked including Alejandro Zapata and Jose Ballivian.
