ASUN Beam Video Series: North Florida's Lasse Muscheites

LakePoint, Ga. - In the first ASUN Beam Video Series, the conference features student-athletes across the ASUN that have made an Impact in the classroom, in competition and in the community. Throughout the spring, the ASUN will feature two student-athletes from each institution that epitomize the conference's beam of Impact.

Lasse Muscheites' Impact at North Florida has spanned across multiple spectrums as the senior from Rastede, Germany has helped the Men's Tennis program to 50+ dual match victories, while also being named to the ASUN All-Academic Team in 2016 & 2017.

In addition to his accomplishments as a student-athlete, Muscheites has participated in multiple community service campaigns geared towards local Jacksonville children. In the "Real Men Read" campaign, Muscheites and other Ospreys read to elementary school students and encourage reluctant readers to read. A Business Management major, Muscheites has volunteered at the Fruit Cove Baptist Church with their annual basketball tournament, filled shoe boxes with small toys and gifts for children in partnership with Samaritan's Purse for Operation Christmas Child and also put on a tennis clinic for the Boys & Girls Club.

Muscheites' achievements on the court are immense as he recently helped North Florida to its second-straight ASUN Men's Tennis Regular Season title with a perfect 6-0 record heading into the 2018 ASUN Championship hosted at UNF. Playing mostly at No. 2 Singles & No. 1 Doubles, Muscheites has guided UNF to its 13th-straight double-digit win campaign. Last season, Muscheites and then-teammate Jack Findel-Hawkins advanced to the NCAA Doubles Championship Round of 16 after finishing as the runner-up at the ITA All-American Doubles Championship.
