Findel-Hawkins & Pritchard Highlight 2017 @ASUNTennis Postseason Awards

FORT MYERS, Fla. 
- The ASUN Conference announced the Men's Tennis Postseason Awards on Thursday night at the 2017 ASUN Men's Tennis Championship awards banquet. North Florida's Jack-Findel Hawkins repeated as the league's Player of the Year, while FGCU's Felipe Ramirez earned ASUN Freshman of the Year.

Kennesaw State's Simon Pritchard earned recognition as the ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the third-straight year. UNF's Head Coach Mark Finnegan collected his first ASUN Coach of the Year after guiding the Ospreys to an undefeated conference record.

ASUN Men's Tennis Superlative Awards
- Jack Findel-Hawkins, North Florida:
The two-time ASUN Player of the Year, Findel-Hawkins posted a 5-1 record at No. 1 singles in conference play and 8-10 overall. A four-time First Team All-Conference selection, he becomes the eighth play in league history to earn Player of the Year honors in back-to-back seasons.

- Simon Pritchard, Kennesaw State: The three-time ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Pritchard owns a 3.97 cumulative GPA as a Finance major in his senior season. Also a Four-Time First Team All-Conference nod, Pritchard finished the regular season with a 10-7 overal record at No. 1 and 3-3 in ASUN play. In doubles action, he owned a perfect 5-0 mark with Lucas de Torres Curth against conference foes and 11-1 overall.

- Felipe Ramirez, FGCU: Playing mostly at No. 1 singles in his first year in Fort Myers, Ramirez earned the ASUN Freshman of the Year honors following a 10-3 campaign. In ASUN action, Ramirez finished 5-1 and enters the ASUN Championship on a five-match win streak. He follows teammate Javier Fernandez from last year in earning the award.

- Mark Finnegan, North Florida: Guiding the Ospreys to a 6-0 record in ASUN action, UNF's Mark Finnegan earns his first-ever ASUN Coach of the Year. North Florida enters the ASUN Championship with a 14-6 overall record and victories in their last seven times on the courts.

The 2017 ASUN Men's Tennis Championship begins on Friday, Apr. 21st on the campus of FGCU at 5 PM ET. No. 3 Kennesaw State faces No. 6 Lipscomb, while No. 4 FGCU takes on No. 5 USC Upstate. Both matches take place at 5 PM. No. 1 North Florida and No. 2 Stetson received first-round byes.
