ATLANTA, Ga. – Liberty's Kevin Mendoza and Brogan Engbers guided the Flames to a road victory against Longwood and a conference victory on Saturday to help each individual earn ASUN Conference Men's Soccer Weekly Awards, announced Monday by the league office.

In two contests, Mendoza scored three goals and has had at least one goal scored in his last five games. Against Longwood, Mendoza scored less than a minute into the 2nd half to give the Flames breathing room.  The score would initiate a four-goal half for Liberty to put the game away 5-0.  Mendoza accounted for two of those goals. Against NJIT, the midfielder put Liberty on the board in the 22nd minute of play.  The Flames never trailed and secured their second consecutive victory.

Brogan Engbers capped off an impressive week of play coming within 30 seconds of back-to-back shutouts.  Against Longwood, he recorded his second shutout of the season finishing with two saves.  Engbers added another four saves to help Liberty secure a conference victory on the road against NJIT.  The redshirt freshman made two diving saves that were crucial in preserving the Flames' two-goal edge during the middle of the second half.
