ATLANTA, Ga. - In their second tournament of the 2019-20 season, North Florida captured a runner-up finish at the Carpet Capital Collegiate on Sunday shooting a 17-over par 881. Senior Michael Mattiace was the top performer for the Ospreys finishing with a two-over par 218, lifting UNF to its best finish at tournament.
The Farm Golf Club held The Carpet Capital Collegiate for the 31st year playing at a 72 par / 7,180 yards. The 15-team field included nine teams inside the top-50 and 13 team inside the top-100 according to the teams final Golfstat ranking from 2018-19.
UNF was second on par three scoring averaging 3.07 while finishing tied third in birdies with 47 for the three rounds. Brady Keran was the top finisher for Kennesaw State with a 228 in their season opener. The Owls finished 15th as a team shooting a 924.
