North Florida's Knowles Secures Ninth Career Men's Golf Weekly Accolade

ATLANTA, Ga. - North Florida's Philip Knowles opened the 2018-19 ASUN Conference Men's Golf season by collecting his ninth career weekly accolade, announced Thursday by the league office.

Teeing off at the Carpet Capital Collegiate against a field that consisted of 11 Top-50 nationally-ranked squads, Knowles grabbed a top-10 finish as he tied for eighth place in the loaded tournament. Carding rounds of one-under par 71 on each day, Knowles pushed his career total to 50 rounds of par or better which sits second-best in program history. With his ninth career Men's Golfer of the Week honor, Knowles sits second in conference history trailing only Lipscomb's Dawson Armstrong with 13.
