    ATLANTA, Ga. - The ASUN Conference Men's Basketball season continues this weekend with Liberty still sporting a perfect record at 5-0. The Flames are off to their best start since 1991.   • Warren Caps Furious Rally in Men's Basketball OT Win Over FAU, 72-70

    FORT MYERS, Fla. (FGCUAthletics.com) – A buzzer-beater by junior Jalen Warren (Milton, Ontario) handed the FGCU men's basketball team its first win of the season as the Eagles downed cross-state rival FAU in overtime by a score of 72-70 Wednesday night at Alico Arena. The shot capped off a career night for Warren who finished with a career-high 21 points and matched his season best with five assists.
  • Jacksonville Announces Plans to Build Basketball Performance Center

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University Athletics announced today plans to begin construction of a basketball performance center on campus that will serve as the future home of Jacksonville basketball’s day-to-day operations. Construction is set to begin in late spring of 2020 with completion scheduled for summer of 2021.

    ATLANTA, Ga. - Four ASUN Conference Men's Basketball teams came away with large victories on Saturday with Jacksonville, Liberty and NJIT scoring double-digit wins, while North Alabama defeated an in-state foe at Flowers Hall. Two of Saturday's victories came on the road as JAX earned a neutral-court victory and UNA took care of their home court. Stetson fell in non-conference action for its first loss of the season to complete Saturday's contests.

    LYNCHBURG, Va. - All night Liberty's defense was exceptional as the Flames improve to 3-0 for the second straight season with a 65-39 win over South Carolina State, setting the school record for the fewest points allowed against a Division I opponent. The Flames allowed just 13 points in the first half while 10 different players scored for Liberty throughout the game.

    Behind the largest crowd in the Vines Center in the last 10 years, Liberty opened up the 2019-20 season with a 66-60 win over in-state rival, Radford. It was a battle between two of the best mid-major programs in the country and Liberty's defense showed up, limiting the Highlanders to shoot just 37 percent from the floor.

NJIT's Zach Cooks along with Liberty's tandem of Caleb Homesley and Scottie James were honored on the award watch list which annually recognizes the nation's top NCAA Division I mid-major player.

The Flames secured a total of 51 first-place votes combined between the two polls while North Florida had four and Lipscomb secure two first-place tallies in the Media Poll.
