LakePoint, Ga. -
On the final day of the ASUN Conference Men's Basketball regular season, Jacksonville and NJIT picked up victories to clinch top-four spots and hosting rights in the first round of the upcoming 2018 ASUN Championship. FGCU snapped its two-game losing streak, while Lipscomb captured back-to-back 20-win seasons.

Jacksonville secured the No. 3 seed with a River City Rumble sweep of North Florida after defeating the Ospreys 86-81 in front of a raucous Swisher Gym crowd tonight. Jace Hogan led all scorers with 26 points, while the Dolphins placed five players in double figures. Devin Harris posted a remarkable triple-double with 14 points, 16 assists and 12 rebounds, the first triple-double in ASUN Men's Basketball since February 2011. Jalyn Hinton scored 16 off the bench, including some monster dunks as Jacksonville shot 56.7 percent from the floor for the night. After trailing 41-34 at the half, the Dolphins scored 52 points in the second period, shooting 19-30 (63.3%) in the second half alone. North Florida was led by Garret Sams with 19 points, while Ivan Gandia-Rosa (17) and Noah Horchler (17) also scored in double figures. The Dolphins hosts No. 6 Kennesaw State on Monday night, while the Ospreys travel to NJIT in the first round of the ASUN Championship.

The Highlanders secured the No. 4 seed in the upcoming ASUN Championship with a 76-67 road victory at USC Upstate to close out the regular season. NJIT take on No. 5 North Florida in the first round on Monday night at the WEC. Balanced scoring was the key for the Highlanders, who played without leading scorer Anthony Tarke in this one. Shawndale Jones led the team with 13 points, while Zack Cooks, Donovan Greer and Diandre Wilson each scored 11 for the Highlanders. NJIT had 47 points off the bench as they picked up the slack on the offensive end. In the second half, NJIT clamped down on defense holding USC Upstate to 32.3 percent from the field.

The Eagles finished off the regular season in style as they snapped their two-game losing streak with a dominating 76-60 win at Stetson. Brandon Goodwin scored a game-high 27 points, while Christian Terrell added 17 and RaySean Scott Jr. made his return with 11 points. Divine Myles scored eight points to become Stetson's all-time leading scorer, but it wasn't enough as the Eagles took control in the second half scoring 43 points. The Eagles controlled the paint with a 38-22 advantage and used two big runs in the second half to turn a four-point advantage into a 20-point lead. FGCU is the No. 1 seed in the upcoming ASUN Championship and play host to No. 8 USC Upstate on February 26th at 7 PM.

Lipscomb collected its 20th win of the season as the Bisons defeated Kennesaw State 83-74 to close out the regular season. Rob Marberry put together another standout performance as he finished with 32 points, matching Kennesaw State's Nick Masterson whose 30 point performance represents a new career-high. Marberry was 13-15 from the field as Lipscomb doubled up the Owls in the paint 44-22. Garrison Mathews scored 14 points, while Michael Buckland added 11 points. Marberry added 11 rebounds for his fifth career double-double, while Kenny Cooper dished out nine assists. Lipscomb took a 44-33 lead at halftime after Marberry scored 18 of his 32 in the opening period. James Scott added 21 points for the Owls, but they were unable to overcome Lipscomb shooting 54.7 percent from the floor. Lipscomb is the No. 2 seed and hosts No. 7 Stetson, while the Owls travel to Swisher Gym as the No. 6 seed to face Jacksonville.
