LakePoint, Ga. - Three ASUN Conference Men's Basketball sides capped their non-conference schedule with victories on Tuesday night with Jacksonville, Kennesaw State and North Florida routing their opponents at home.
KSU collected its fourth win of the season with a 98-75 victory against Carver Bible behind five scorers in double figures as Kosta Jankovic tallied 19 off the bench coupled with 16 from Nick Masterson on four triples. Jordan Jones added 16 points of his own for a season-high, while Anthony Wilson poured in 12 as well. James Scott recorded his 12th-straight double digit game with 13 as he added five assists; just one dime short of Kyle Clarke's game-high of six.
Jacksonville registered the highest point total of the night with a 105-48 win vs. Trinity Baptist in Swisher Gymnasium. Six Dolphins tallied at least 10 points with Cody Helgeland leading the way with 20 as the senior knocked down five three's. Jalyn Hinton and Devin Harris each registered 16 as Hinton added 10 boards for his first career double-double. JD Notae (13), Lee Richmond (11) and Jace Hogan (10) combined for 34 points as the Dolphins shot 60.6 percent from the field.
The Birds of Trey dropped 16 three balls on Florida National in a 104-70 triumph in UNF Arena for the Ospreys' sixth non-conference win. Two North Florida players tallied double-doubles with Trip Day (17 points, 10 rebounds) and Emmanuel Lambright (10 points, 13 rebounds), while Wajid Aminu flirted with a triple-double on eight points, 12 rebounds and six assists. JT Escobar's 18 points led UNF, while Osborn Blount chipped in 16 to go along with Brian Coffey II's 11 off the bench.
USC Upstate dropped a narrow affair to UMKC, 79-77, despite 22 points each from Malik Moore and Jure Span. The Spartans hit 10 three's in the loss.
