LakePoint, Ga. - Kennesaw State and Lipscomb collected non-conference victories on Thursday night as ASUN Conference Men's Basketball squads swept the night. The Owls won a tightly contested battle at home, while the Bisons earned a road win to close out the night.

In a game that saw nine lead changes and five ties, Kennesaw State emerged victorious against Samford 71-66. James Scott led the Owls' offense with 20 points, while Kosta Jankovic had an all-around top performance with 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Nick Masteron (12) and Tyler Hooker (11) gave the Owls four double-digit scorers on the night. After leading 29-28 at the halftime break, the Owls came out with a 6-0 run to build a lead. But Samford responded late in the second half and took a 64-63 lead with 1:40 to go. Hooker then stepped up with a big three-pointer to give the Owls the lead back at 66-64. In the final seconds, Jankovic and Scott pulled down clutch rebounds and converted from the foul line to push the Owls to victory.

The Bisons traveled to the Naval Academy and collected a 73-64 victory against Navy to close out Thursday night's action. After a quiet first half, Garrison Mathews turned it on in the second half to finish with 27 points and lead all scorers. Rob Marberry was spectacular in the paint as he made 8-11 shots and finished with 19 points.
