Four @ASUNMBB Squads Sit with Winning Marks at End of November

LakePoint, Ga. - Eight games are slated for the next two days for ASUN Conference Men's Basketball sides as four league teams near the close of November with winning records. FGCU and Stetson sit tied with a league-best five victories, while Lipscomb and NJIT own identical 4-2 marks.

On Wednesday, FGCU and North Florida take to their home court with contests against Webber and Eastern Michigan, respectively, while USC Upstate heads to UNC Asheville and Lipscomb tangles with in-state foe Tennessee Tech. All four match-ups tip off at 7 PM ET.

Thursday's slate features NJIT at No. 19 West Virginia and Kennesaw State in a 10:30 PM ET tip at Seattle. The Hatters look for their sixth win of the season with a home game vs. Campbell, while Jacksonville hosts Bethune-Cookman. Only seven games are scheduled for the weekend; four of which take place on ASUN courts.

Potential Newcomer of the Year Award Winners
- Several newcomers have made an immediate impact for their teams early in the season with four averaging at least 11.0 PPG including Jacksonville's Jace Hogan, UNF's tandem of Ivan Gandia-Rosa & JT Escobar as well as NJIT's Diandre Wilson.

- Jacksonville's JD Notae and Stetson's Abayomi Iyiola are the lone freshmen in double-digit scoring through the month of November, while several others have made an impact early in their careers.

Year of the Juniors
Four of the top-eight scorers in the ASUN reside in the junior class with Lipscomb's Garrison Mathews (25.7; 1st) & Rob Marberry (15.0; 8th), FGCU's Zach Johnson (15.9; 4th) and USC Upstate's Malik Moore (15.5; 7th). Two juniors sit in the top-three for rebounding; NJIT's Abdul Lewis (11.3; 1st) and Marberry (7.5; 3rd), while Johnson sits first in steals at 2.4.

- Christian Terrell needs eight points against Webber on Wednesday to become the 179th player in ASUN history to reach 1,000 career points. Divine Myles and Garrison Mathews have already passed the 1,000 career points mark and rank 47th in ASUN history, while Mathews sits in 124th in his junior season.

This season, every ASUN Men's Basketball home game will be broadcast on ESPN3 totaling to 117 on-campus productions. Overall, ASUN sides can be seen on the ESPN family of networks or national broadcasts for 139 games.
 
No Place Like Home
- Last year, ASUN teams combined to post a 75-44 (.630) record in home games. So far, league squads own a 17-6 (.739) home record with 11 home games slated over the next week. Three teams remain unbeaten at home this season; FGCU (4-0), Lipscomb (2-0) and North Florida (1-0).

ASUN Head Coach Win List
- Matthew Driscoll leads all active ASUN Head Coaches in wins as he has totaled 134 at North Florida, which is tied for ninth all-time in league history. Joe Dooley needs four wins this season to crack 100 at FGCU. Casey Alexander has totaled 89 in his six combined seasons at Lipscomb & Stetson.

- North Florida and USC Upstate sit tied for second in the NCAA for total three's made at 92 trailing only South Dakota State with 101. Stetson ranks 31st with 70. UNF's JT Escobar has made 28 triples, which ranks fourth nationally and his teammate Ivan Gandia-Rosa is tied for 15th with 24 with Upstate's Ramel Thompkins. Kennesaw State's Nick Masterson sits seventh in the NCAA in three-point percentage at 57.7 ahead of Escobar in 14th at 56.0.

ASUN Conference Rebranding
- When referring to the conference, please use "ASUN Conference" or "ASUN"and refrain from using "Atlantic Sun Conference". The conference underwent a rebranding in April of 2016 which dropped the usage of "Atlantic Sun."
