ASUN Conference Baseball Alums in MiLB All-Star Games (2019)

Michael Baumann, Jacksonville/Frederick Keys (RHP)
All-Star Selection:
Carolina League (A Adv.)
2019 Stats:
1-5 | 3.27 ERA | 90 K
-
A right-hander in the Orioles' system, Baumann started the Carolina League All-Star Game in his home park of Frederick, going one inning without allowing a run. The 2017 draft pick has impressed enough in Single A action that he was recently called up to AA Bowie where he has appeared in three games while also converting one save opportunity.

Kutter Crawford, FGCU/Salem Red Sox (RHP)
All-Star Selection:
Carolina League (A Adv.)
2019 Stats:
 5-6 | 3.55 ERA | 95 K
- A 16th-round pick by the Red Sox in 2017, Crawford represented the Red Sox as part of the Carolina League's North Division All-Stars. The righty with an appropriately sick cutter showed enough stuff in A-ball that he received the call up to AA Portland where he has now made three starts while he adjusts to tougher competition.

Tony Dibrell, Kennesaw State/St. Lucie Mets (RHP)
All-Star Selection:
Florida State League (A Adv.)
2019 Stats:
 7-4 | 2.56 ERA | 72 K
- A 2017 fourth-round pick by the Mets, Dibrell is on the way to his best Minor League season in his short pro career. The former Kennesaw State standout has recorded 11 starts this year with giving up one earned run or less. The righty was the starter for the FSL All-Star Game and picked up the win as the South beat the North 2-0.

Austin Drury, North Florida/Great Lakes Loons (LHP)
All-Star Selection:
Midwest League (Full A)
2019 Stats:
 23 G | 2.68 ERA | 2 SV
- A reliever in the Dodger's farm system, Drury earned his way as a reliever to the Midwest League All-Star Game behind nine scoreless outings in relief for the Loons. The former Ospreys standout did not appear in the ASG but got the call to the next level as he now pitches for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, an Advanced A team for the Dodgers where he has made eight appearances.

Michael Gigliotti, Lipscomb/Lexington Legends (OF)
All-Star Selection:
South Atlantic League (A Adv.)
2019 Stats:
.290 | 23 RBI | 32 SB
- The speedy Bisons alum was a starter for the South Atlantic League South in their All-Star Game, leading off and connecting for a double. After his stellar campaign with Lexington, Gigliotti was called up to the Wilmington Blue Rocks, the Double A affiliate for the Kansas City Royals. The outfielder's 29 steals in the SAL still lead the league after he was called up almost two weeks ago.

Mitchell Jordan, Stetson/Stockton Ports (RHP)
All-Star Selection:
California League (A Adv.)
2019 Stats:
6-5 | 5.14 ERA | 89 K
- A 10th-rounder in 2016 from Stetson, Jordan has spent the entirety of this season with Stockton where he posted a winning record in 15 starts while also making two relief appearances. The former Hatters star came in during the second inning of the California League ASG, notching a hold with one strikeout while keeping the opposition off the board.

Connor Marabell, Jacksonville/Akron RubberDucks (OF)
All-Star Selection:
Eastern League (AA)
2019 Stats:
.250 | 7 HR | 32 RBI
- A 2015 selection by the Cleveland Indians, Marabell has become a known commodity at the Double A level, taking his talents to the Eastern League All-Star Game this season after being near the top in both home runs and RBIs. The outfielder was called up to AAA for a few games as well.

Patrick Mazeika, Stetson/Binghamton Rumble Ponies (C)
All-Star Selection:
Eastern League (AA)
2019 Stats:
.250 | 10 HR | 46 RBI
- A fellow 2015 draft pick and former ASUN rival to Marabell, Mazeika is also an Eastern League All Star and the lone catcher of our ten players listed. In his second full-season at Binghamton, Mazeika has topped his RBI and home run totals from last season in an attempt to be called up to AAA for the first time.

Jeffrey Passantino, Lipscomb/South Bend Cubs (RHP)
All-Star Selection:
Midwest League (Full A)
2019 Stats:
 18 G | 3-1 | 69 K
- A 2017 pick out of Lipscomb by the Cubs, Passantino has been a dominant reliever this year in the Cubs' system, earning a spot in the Midwest League All-Star Game where he went two-thirds of an inning and struck out one. The former Bisons hurler has been so good in the 'pen that he received the call all the way up to AAA Iowa and has now started two games while giving up only two combined runs and striking out 11 while walking one.

Austin Warner, Bellarmine/Springfield Cardinals (LHP)
All-Star Selection:
Texas League (AA)
2019 Stats:
 4-6 | 4.45 ERA | 95 K
- An undrafted player out of new ASUN member Bellarmine, Warner came into the Texas League All-Star Game for one inning of work, holding the opposite side off the board. Since that game, the former Knights standout has been called up to AAA Memphis where he has made two starts as he climbs closer to making his Major League debut in the near future.
